Mera Peak – Complete Itinerary
Airport transfer to luxury hotel. Expedition briefing and gear check.
Scenic mountain flight to Lukla. Trek to Paiya (2,730m). 3-4 hours walking.
Beautiful trek through rhododendron forests. 5-6 hours walking.
Cross Panggom La pass (3,173m). Descend to Ningsow village. 6-7 hours.
Trek through dense forests and cross suspension bridges. 7-8 hours.
Ascend into the Hinku Valley. First views of Mera Peak. 6-7 hours.
Gradual ascent for acclimatization. Rest and short hikes. 3-4 hours.
Day hike to Chharpate Himal (5,083m) for acclimatization. Return to Thaknak.
Trek to Mera Peak base camp. Rocky terrain and glacial moraines. 3-4 hours.
Climbing skills training. Practice with ropes, ice axe, and crampons.
Cross Mera La pass. Set up high camp on glacier. 5-6 hours.
Early morning summit attempt. Return to Khare base camp. 8-10 hours.
Contingency day for weather delays or rest.
Descend back through the Hinku Valley. 4-5 hours walking.
Cross Zatr La pass (4,610m). Mountain views. 6-7 hours.
Final descent via Chutanga La pass (4,250m). 6-7 hours to Lukla.
Morning flight to Kathmandu. Celebration dinner and certificate ceremony.
